Troubleshooting: your client can't open the proposal
The most common situations, and what to do.
- They don't get the code
- Ask them to check their spam or junk folder: some company filters hold back automatic emails. They can also click "Resend code" after a few seconds.
- They see "Access not found."
- The address they enter isn't one of the proposal's recipients. It's often another address, an alias or a typo. Check the email in the access list, or add the right address as a recipient.
- The code is rejected
- The code is only valid for 10 minutes, and only the latest code works. They just need to click "Change email address" and request a new code.
- They forwarded the link to a colleague
- The link alone doesn't give access: an authorized address is also needed. Add the colleague as a recipient so they can get their own code.
- They need to sign in again
- After signing in, access lasts 48 hours in the same browser. After that, or on another device, they simply request a new code.
- They see "This offer is no longer available."
- The proposal was deleted. An archived proposal, on the other hand, stays available.
- They don't see a change
- Ask them to reload the page. Also check that the document is linked to the right quote, or that the service is ticked in the proposal.
